"Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can't help them, at least don't hurt them." - Dalai Lama

Jesse's First Wave 🌊

The photo above is of my son Jesse, taken at Gerupuk, Indonesia. He had just caught his very first wave on a surfboard—and I think his face says it all.
Even before he was born, Jesse became my purpose. And ever since that day, he continues to be a daily reminder for me to live in the present moment with gratitude.

Finding Purpose – Your Ikigai 💫

It’s important to find your purpose—or Ikigai, as the Japanese call it. Your purpose might shift over time, and that’s okay. But to walk through life without any sense of purpose is to be alive in body, but not in spirit.
I’ve walked many different paths and had many different reasons to keep going. But I’ve learned that the most meaningful purpose is one that isn’t centered on the self. A purpose that allows you to cherish others—this is the kind that relieves suffering and uplifts the soul.

Beyond the Ego ❤️‍🔥

Letting go of self-cherishing and cultivating love and compassion for all beings is, I believe, the ultimate path. In a world conditioned to feed the ego, this path can feel like a rebellion—but it’s a rebellion worth undertaking.
It’s not easy, but it is possible. And more than that—it’s necessary.

Join the Journey 🌱

To help others walk this path, I’ve created a newsletter and website devoted to living with presence and purpose. You’ll find reflections from my own life adventures, as well as teachings and insights from others who inspire me.
I’d love for you to join our growing community and be part of lighting up the darkness.

Wishing you peace, purpose, and presence on your journey. May happiness follow you with every step. 🌿
